INTRODUCTION
![]() STEP 02 First, press 'create new fill or adjustment layer' on your layer pallete and then choose 'Threshold" ![]() STEP 03 In here you basicly locate the most white and black spot in the photo. Move the threshold to the left, and press with the arrow keys until you find the first black spot/pixel on screen. Mark this spot with CAPS LOCK ON, hold down shift and place the marker. ![]() STEP 04 Most black spot already located, lets continue, with the most white spot. For white do it the same way as with black. You will notice that this is not a spot, but a bunch of pixels toghether. Itīs somewhere in the sky in this photo. ![]() STEP 05 After that, you can cancel the Threshold, itīs not necessary to save the adjustment layer. Itīs time to start a Levels Adjustment layer ![]() STEP 06 Now this is the most important thing of this tutorial: Be sure that the sampler for black and white is set OK. We are going to do this now. ![]() STEP 06 Twice right-mouse click on the black sampler and make sure you set the color to ALMOST black for example: #030303. And for white: #f4f4f4. You can set white to double click with the right-mouse button on the right pipette. ![]() STEP 07 Now that you have modified the settings for the sampler you are ready to select the points from the threshold. So select the black color sampler from Levels and click on the most black point, make sure that CAPS LOCK is ON. Wait untill the maker disappears and then click with the left-mouse button. Do the same with white. ![]() STEP 08 This is the result. Difference is small, but it's the finishing touch, and the little help to your camera. ![]() |
